Coming November 2022

My first book, Queer Voices in Hip Hop: Cultures, Communities, and Contemporary Performance will be published on November 2, 2022 with the University of Michigan Press. You can pre-order on the press website or on Amazon! Thanks to funding in part from a H. Earle Johnson Publication Subvention award from the Society for American Music, this book will also be available as an Open Access book. Making sure this book was accessible to a wide audience was important to me, and I’m very grateful to the press for helping to make this Open Access option a reality!
